Regeneration of industrial solvents
The European waste management hierarchy places recycling after prevention and preparation for reuse, but ahead of other forms of reclamation, including energy recovery and disposal. Product recovery is an essential pillar of development at Speichim Processing and Valls Química , which offers original solutions to regenerate industrial solvents.
The recycling process consists of several steps. First, flows must be segregated and stored, then distilled to separate the various noble components within the waste. Lastly, the elements are distributed through a just-in-time logistics scheme. Throughout the process, we suggests you concrete, proven solutions to guarantee quality and performance, in addition to a reliable outlet for your wastes.
Regeneration of thermal fluid
Valls Química has signed an agreement with DOW Chemical to regenerate a loop of thermal fluid called Dowtherm A. This is manufactured directly by DOW and is then used in thermo-solar centres to produce energy. Over time, this product degrades. It is precisely the task of Valls Química to regenerate this product in order to bring it back to the specifications of the virgin product.
MAM recycling project
Speichim Processing is a partner in the European MMAtwo project, the objective of which is to recycle MAM (Methyl Methacrylate), which is produced by the depolymerisation process of PMMA (Polymethyl Methacrylate), a transparent thermoplastic polymer, better known under the registered trademark Plexiglas® or Altuglas®.
